Women's Golf Heads to Top-Rated Collegiate Course for Yale Intercollegiate

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Xavier women's golf is wheels up for a fall break tournament hosted by Yale at the Bulldogs' number-one rated collegiate golf course in the country.Â

Mikayla Fitzpatrick is averaging a team-best 74.17 per round score through the first two tournaments of the season. Fitzpatrick will play the number one spot for the Yale Intercollegiate.Â
Andie Shukow sits just behind Fitzpatrick in average score of 74.83 over six rounds this fall.Â
Amy Kucera enters her third tournament of the season at the Yale Intercollegiate. She played in the GolfWeek Conference Challenge as an individual and finished tied for 35th at the Redbird Invitational.Â
XU won their first tournament of the fall at the Redbird Invitational in early September and then competed in the GolfWeek Conference Challenge on September 23-25.Â
The Musketeers will get their first look at BIG EAST rival Georgetown while in New Haven. The Hoyas finished third in the conference behind Xavier and Seton Hall last season.

The outing is a 54-hole event beginning on Friday, October 4 and running through Sunday.Â
Friday and Saturday will be split-tee starting at 8:30 a.m. from holes one and 10. The final round on Sunday will be a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m.

There are 14 teams competing in the Yale Intercollegiate
The teams competing are Boston College, Boston University, Charlotte, Columbia, Delaware, Georgetown, Hartford, Harvard, Pennsylvania, Princeton, Quinnipiac, Stirling, Xavier, and Yale.
