Paul Scruggs Earns Another BIG EAST Conference Honor

Musketeers move up to No. 18 in this week's AP Poll.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University junior guard Paul Scruggs has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll for his efforts this past week in Xavier wins over Missouri on Nov. 12 and Missouri State on Nov. 15.
Scruggs, a preseason honorable mention All-BIG EAST selection, averaged 13.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in two Xavier wins, while shooting 10-19 from the field. Scruggs scored all 12 of his points vs. Missouri in the final 13:07, including four points in the five-minute overtime. He also made the key final basket in the 59-56 victory over Missouri State.
Xavier, 4-0, moved up from No. 21 to No. 18 in this week's Associated Press Poll. XU, which checks in at No. 21 in this week's USA TODAY Sports coaches poll, begins play in the Charleston Classic on Thursday night vs. Towson.
