Jason Carter Leads Musketeers in 73-51 Victory Over Towson

The Musketeers will play in the semifinals of the Charleston Classic Friday night
CINCINNATI - Xavier men's basketball extended its win streak to five after topping Towson, 73-51, at the Charleston Classic on Thursday night. Four Musketeers finished in double-digit scoring, led by Jason Carter with 13 points. Tyrique Jones and Bryce Moore contributed 12 points each while Jones had a team-high of 12 rebounds. Paul Scruggs also recorded 11 points on the night. The Musketeers advance to the semifinals on Friday night.

- Xavier opened the contest going on an 11-5 run over the course of the first four minutes. Tyrique Jones started the run with a dunk and contributed six more points, while hitting two free throws.
- After the break, the Musketeers extended the lead 20-11, with a Dahmir Bishop three pointer at the 12-minute mark.

- Xavier went on a 10-7 run over the course of two minutes, with seven points scored by Bryce Moore on two threes and a free throw.
- Tyrique Jones found Quentin Goodin beyond the arc to give Xavier its largest lead of the evening, 67-48. Goodin finished the game with four points and three assists.
