Men's Basketball Travels To Omaha For A Sunday BIG EAST Clash With Creighton

Musketeers are looking to snap a four-game losing streak.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier, 11-11 overall and 3-6 in the BIG EAST Conference, shoots to snap a four-game losing streak when it travels to Omaha on Sunday to face Creighton, 12-9 overall and 3-5 in the BIG EAST Conference. The 1 p.m. ET BIG EAST matchup will be broadcast on FSN, including FOX Sports Ohio, and 700 WLW.
The Musketeers have already played half of their BIG EAST Conference season, nine games, but this is the first time Xavier and Creighton have met this season. XU hosts Creighton Feb. 13. Creighton isn't the only BIG EAST team that Xavier has not seen yet this season. Xavier still has to play its two games vs. St. John's, including Feb. 28 in New York and March 9 in Cincinnati.
Xavier leads the series with Creighton 15-12, including wins in both meetings last season. Xavier has won three of the last four meetings in Omaha, all of which were close wins. Xavier won 72-71 last season, 82-80 in the 2016-17 season and 74-73 in the 2014-15 season. XU escaped with a thrilling 72-71 win at Creighton last season as Quentin Goodin calmly sank two free throws with 0.3 seconds left.

• Xavier has already played half of its BIG EAST season, nine games, but this is the first time Xavier and Creighton have met this season. XU hosts Creighton on Feb. 13.
