Musketeers face Vikings tomorrow

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's tennis opened the weekend trip to Cleveland State with a 5-2 loss to Buffalo at CSU. Xavier returns to action tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. with the host Vikings.

THE MATCH

In doubles, Xavier picked up the point to go ahead, 1-0, with 6-4 wins in both the No. 1 spot, for Brett Winters and Jack Dykema, and in the No. 2 spot, for Matthew Graft and Connor LaFavre. Michael Lee an Jan Vrba fell, 6-3, in the No. 3 spot.

Xavier picked up another point singles play, for Matthew Graft in the No. 3 spot, 6-4, 4-6, 3-0, with the third set played after the match was decided.

In the No. 1 spot, Brett Winters fell in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Jack Dykema fell, 6-4, 7-5, in the No. 2 spot. Connor LaFavre fell, 6-4, 6-3, in the No. 3 spot.

In the No. 5 spot, Jan Vrba went to three sets, falling 6-0, 2-6, 6-1. Michael Lee fell 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 6 spot.
