• Sophomore Anna Kostarellis had the top individual finish at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships, placing fourth in the 5,000-meter run (17:19.11). She also set the school record in the 3,000-meter run (9:33.43) during the indoor season.
• At the outdoor conference championships last season, the Musketeers posted nine top-five finishes and had multiple PRs. Xavier's top returner on the women's team is Jenna Clayworth who placed fifth in the 5,000-meter run (16:45.81). William Roberts was the top male finisher at the championships, placing fourth in the 400-meter hurdles (55.42).
Â
"Coming off our spring break I'm excited to see where we're at. I don't just want this to be a soft opener for our athletes, I want this to be a good performance that sets the tone for the rest of the outdoor season. We have someone in almost every fast section of the meet so I think we should have a number of athletes running for the win. We should see good competition across the board from Miami, EKU and NKU and others."
Â
• The Musketeers return to action at the Raleigh Relays on March 29-30 in Raleigh, N.C.
