Women's Golf Looks For Strong Performance at BIG EAST Tournament

OKATIE, S.C. - Xavier women's golf is looking forward to the weekend with hopes of a strong performance in the BIG EAST Championship.
The Musketeers earned the second overall team seed heading into the tournament with an average score of 298.74 and three tournament victories on the season.Â
Mikayla Fitzpatrick earned the number one seed individually, averaging 73.48 per round as well as having seven top-10 finishes over 10 tournaments. Fitzpatrick recorded 12 rounds at par-or-better this season and finished with a versus-par of 1.89 leading up to this tournament.Â
Lyndsey Hunnell ranks second in the BIG EAST with a scoring average of 74.83 over her 24 rounds this season. Hunnell has three top-10 finishes for the season.
Mikayla Smith enters the BIG EAST championship ranked eighth in conference, averaging 75.63 per round over 27 rounds this season. She adds another four top-10 finishes to XU's resume.Â
Andie Shukow and Morgan Tinsley round out the XU lineup for the BIG EAST Championship.
