Xavier Women’s Golf Set to Play in East Lansing NCAA Regional

The Musketeers will be participating in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history

CINCINNATI - Xavier women's golf will participate in the East Lansing NCAA Regional on May 6-8 at the Forest Akers West Golf Course. The Musketeers will be participating in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.

The NCAA Tournament field was set on Wednesday evening following the NCAA Selection Show on the Golf Channel. A total of 18 teams and six individual qualifiers will participate in four regionals with the top six teams advancing to the NCAA Championships on May 17-22 in Fayetteville, Ark. A total of 12 individuals will be selected to participate in the championships as well.

Xavier won the BIG EAST Championships on April 21, knocking off two-time defending champion Georgetown by 14 strokes. The title is also the first in program history.

Junior Mikayla Fitzpatrick also captured the individual title, winning by nine strokes.
