Xavier moved to 7-0-3 in the last 10 meetings vs Cincinnati on Friday night
CINCINNATIÂ -Â Xavier men's soccer defeated Cincinnati, 2-1, on Friday night in the Crosstown Derby held at Nippert Stadium. The No. 10/14 Musketeers moved to 3-0 on the year, while extending its unbeaten streak against the Bearcats to 10 matches.
Xavier is now 7-0-3 in the last 10 meetings with the Bearcats.Â

1' | XAVIER | Freshman Karsen Henderlong gave the Musketeers an early lead following a free kick by Ryan Bellavance who was credited with an assist.
33' | XAVIER | Senior Samson Sergi scored his fourth goal of the season following a free kick by goalkeeper Matthew Rosenberg. The ball was misplayed by the Bearcat defense and goalkeeper as Sergi found it off the bounce and tapped it into the back of the net.
63' | CINCINNATI |Â Kyle Healy headed a ball into the back of the net off a ball played from a corner kick by Donovan Segree.

• Freshman Karsen Henderlong scored his second goal of the season for the Musketeers. He also scored the first goal of the match in the team's home opener vs No. 2/3 Akron.
• Senior Samson Sergi increased his season total in goals to four. He now has 23 career goals, one shy from moving into the all-time top-10 for goals at Xavier.
• Redshirt-junior Matthew Rosenberg (3-0) made six saves in goal, while allowing his first goal of the season. He now has a 0.33 goals against average with two shutouts in three starts for the Musketeers.
• Cincinnati held a 16-9 advantage in shots and took three more corner kicks (5-2) than the Musketeers. The Bearcats committed seven more fouls (15-8) than the Musketeers.
