Samson Sergi Signs Professional Contract with New Mexico United

Sergi finished his career with 29 goals, ranking tied for fourth in program history
CINCINNATI - Xavier men's soccer player Samson Sergi signed a professional contract with New Mexico United on Thursday. The senior forward recently wrapped up one of the most successful season's in program history.
The Ashburn, Va., native earned United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All-East Region Third Team honors last season and was named to the 2019 Academic All-America® Division I men's soccer team. He was named to the All-American Second Team.
Sergi earned All-BIG EAST First Team honors after scoring a conference-leading 10 goals this season. Sergi and Georgetown's Jacob Montes were the only two players in the BIG EAST who were unanimous selections.
Sergi finished his career with 29 goals, ranking tied for fourth in program history. He earned All-BIG EAST honors for the second time in as many seasons as he collected second-team honors in 2018.
