Musketeers are shooting for their sixth BIG EAST win.

CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 16-9 overall and 5-7 in the BIG EAST Conference, travel to New York for a rematch with the St. John's University Red Storm, 14-11 overall and 3-9 in the BIG EAST, on Monday night. The game will be played at Madison Square Garden, site of next month's BIG EAST Conference Tournament.

Xavier is looking to bounce back from a Wednesday loss at No. 19 Butler that snapped XU's three-game winning streak. St. John's, coming off a Wednesday win over Providence, has recorded non-conference wins over West Virginia and Arizona.

• Xavier, which has won 10 straight meetings vs. St. John's, is playing the Red Storm at Madison Square Garden in the regular season for the first time since 2017.
• Xavier junior Naji Marshall leads the team in scoring at 16.2 ppg. (sixth in the BIG EAST) and in assists at 3.7 apg. (seventh in the BIG EAST) and is second in rebounding at 5.9 rpg. (12th in the BIG EAST).
• Xavier junior Naji Marshall is 34th on XU's all-time scoring list (1,143) and senior Tyrique Jones is 39th (1,107). Junior Jason Carter is at 1,004 collegiate points (836 at Ohio) and senior Quentin Goodin has 999 points.
• Xavier's Tyrique Jones leads the BIG EAST and is third in the nation in double-
doubles with 17, including each of the last seven games. Jones, who is averaging 13.7 ppg. and 11.1 rpg., is on target to be the first XU player to average a double-double for a season since 2003 National Player of the Year David West did it as senior in the 2002-03 season.
• Xavier's Tyrique Jones leads the BIG EAST (eighth in the nation) in rebounding at 11.1 rpg. David West is the only XU player to average 11+ rpg. over the last 30 years. Jones leads the BIG EAST (third in the nation) in offensive rebounding at 4.4 rpg.
• Xavier's Tyrique Jones, who has grabbed 798 career rebounds, is 11th on Xavier's all-time rebounding list and just three rebounds shy of 10th-place James Posey.
