MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Xavier men's tennis to Marquette, 6-1, on Saturday in their third BIG EAST Conference matchup of the season. Following the loss, the Musketeers fall to 4-8 overall and will return to action on Tuesday, March 3rd.

THE MATCH

Marquette took the doubles point after defeating Srdan Pejic and Shashank Reddy in the No. 2 spot, 6-1, followed by Michael Lee and Aaron Thompson, 7-6, in the No. 3 spot. Brett Winters and Matthew Graft remained unfinished in the No. 1 doubles spot.

In singles, Michael Lee grabbed Xavier's only victory of the match, defeating Will Tennison, 6-4, 6-2. Winters fell in the No. 1 spot, 6-1, 6-4, and Pejic fell in the No. 2 spot, 6-4, 7-5. Marquette grabbed the No. 3 spot over Graft, 6-3, 6-2, as well as the No. 4 spot over Reddy, 6-1, 7-6. Aaron Thompson also fell in the No. 5 spot, 6-0, 6-2.
