CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis fell to Wichita State, 5-2, on Wednesday afternoon at Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club. With the loss, Xavier falls to 5-7 overall and will return to action on the road at Old Dominion on Satruday, March 7th.

THE MATCH

In doubles, Wichita State took the point after defeating Rachael Reichenbach and Anna Roggenburk in the No. 2 spot, 6-4, along with defeating Natalie Moyer and Lauren Fitz-Randolph, 6-1, in the No. 3 spot.

In singles, Xavier got back on track with a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the No. 1 spot from Ahmeir Kyle. Roggenburk fell in the No. 2 spot, however, 6-3, 6-3, giving Wichita State a 2-1 lead. In the No. 3 spot, Reichenbach fell, 6-2, 6-1. Xavier scored its second point in the No. 4 spot courtesy of Kaitlin Ruether in a 6-0, 3-6, 6-4 victory. The Shockers grabbed the No. 5 and No. 6 spots over Moyer and Fitz-Randolph, however, making the final score 5-2 in favor of Wichita State.
