Rhinehart Leads Musketeers to 1-0 Road Win at Seton Hall

The freshman forward scored his first career goal on Saturday night
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Xavier men's soccer picked up it second BIG EAST road win in as many matches, topping Seton Hall, 1-0, on Saturday night at Owen T. Carroll Field.
The Musketeers improved to 8-4 (2-3 BIG EAST) on the year, while the Pirates dropped to 4-5-2 (0-4 BIG EAST).

• Freshman forward Taylor Rhinehart scored his first career goal in the 71st minute off a pass from Justus Kauppinen. He was one of seven Musketeers who took a shot in the match.
• Payton Miller led the Musketeers in shots with two. Xavier held an 8-2 advantage in shots and took more more shot on goal (2-1).
• Justus Kauppinen recorded the assist on the Taylor Rhinehart goal, his second assist in as many matches. He now has eight career assists (six in a Xavier uniform).
• Matthew Rosenberg (8-4) picked up the win between the pipes. The senior goalkeeper made one save in the match and posted his fifth shutout of the season. He now has 21 career shutouts.
• Both teams had four corner kicks in the match. Seton Hall committed six more fouls (14-8) than the Musketeers.
• Xavier moved to 7-1 in the all-time series with Seton Hall. The win marks the Musketeers fourth straight win in the series.
• Six Musketeers played all 90 minutes: Matthew Rosenberg, Taylor Crull, Cameron Belle, Pol Hernandez, Jansen Miller and Paul Bogarin.
• The Musketeers return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 13 vs Butler. First touch is set for 7 p.m. from Corcoran Field.
