Men's Soccer Ends Fall Season with 1-1 Tie vs DePaul

Senior Payton Miller scored his first career goal on Wednesday night
CINCINNATI - Xavier men's soccer played DePaul to a 1-1 tie on Wednesday night at Corcoran Field, the season finale for both programs.
The Musketeers finished the season with a 9-7-1 (3-6-1 BIG EAST) record, while DePaul concluded its season with a 7-7-3 (3-4-3 BIG EAST) record.

• Fifth-year player Payton Miller scored his first career goal in the 48th minute with a strike from the top of the box. Taylor Rhinehart recorded the assist on the goal, his third assist of the season.
• Xavier held a 17-9 advantage in shots, including an 8-3 edge in shots on goal. Xavier was limited to only two shots total in the overtime period, but Pol Hernandez's shot with three seconds left in the second overtime period nearly gave the Musketeers the victory - however, the shot just missed right of the goal.
• Six Musketeers had two or more shots in the match, paced by Taylor Rhinehart, Karsen Henderlong and Jerome Jolly who each had three shots.
• DePaul committed two more fouls (11-9) than Xavier and had three more corner kicks (7-4). Both team had two yellow cards in the match.
• Matthew Rosenberg made two saves in goal, finishing the season with 41 saves.
