Women's Tennis Closes out the Fall Season at John Cade Invitational

Musketeers one of seven teams in three-day event at Mississippi State
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis will close out the Fall tournament schedule this weekend, playing in the John Cade Invitational at Mississippi State, running from Friday, November 5 through Sunday, November 7, with play starting each day at 11:00 a.m. ET.

LAST TIME OUT |
- Xavier's women's tennis last played at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional, held at Middle Tennessee State.
- Imani Graham, Ahmeir Kyle, Kat Lyman, Natalie Moyer, Blessing Nwaozuzu, Anna Roggenburk and Anna Smith competed in singles play, while the pairs of Smith and Nwaozuzu, Roggenburk and Graham, and Kyle and Lyman took part in doubles action.
- In singles play, the Musketeers collected nine wins, led by Imani Graham who went 3-1 over the weekend, topping the No. 4 seed out of Louisville Andrew Di Palma, 6-4, 6-3 on her way to the round of 32 in the singles main draw and then picking up another win in the consolation bracket.
- Kat Lyman and Blessing Nwaozuzu also advanced to the round of 32 in the main draw, both finishing 2-2 in singles play.
- In doubles play, Xavier picked up seven wins over the weekend, with all three pairs advancing to the round of 16. Imani Graham and Anna Roggenburk picked up the round of 16 win over Bakhodirova and Morales from ETSU to earn a spot in the quarterfinals. The Musketeers finished 7-3 in doubles action.

THE MUSKETEERS |
- Xavier returned seven letterwinners from last season's BIG EAST Championship squad, including Ahmeir Kyle and Anna Roggenburk, who were were unanimous selections to the All-BIG EAST First Team.
- Roggenburk also earned the nod as Freshman of the Year for the conference while Kyle became the first Musketeer to qualify for the NCAA DI Singles Championship.
- The Musketeers also return all-conference honoree Kat Lyman, who earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST Second Team.
- Xavier added a pair of newcomers as well in graduate transfer Anna Smith, joining the Musketeers from Marshall, as well as freshman Bella Kirby.
