Three Musketeers had double-digit kills as Xavier emerges victorious

PROVIDENCE, RI - Xavier was in total control of the action Sunday afternoon, and they came away with a four-set victory by a score of 25-18, 24-26, 25-19, 25-16. This is the Musketeers' second win over Providence this season, and seventh-straight victory against the Friars in the all-time series.

Xavier improves to 11-14 this season, while Providence falls to 15-12.

NOTABLES

• Delaney Hogan led the Musketeers offensively and defensively, spiking a team-high 14 kills and .583 hit percentage, and making a team-best seven blocks (two solo).

• Ellie Chaffee was solid, going for 11 kills of her own at a .476 clip. She also had an ace and a block this afternoon.

• Redshirt Junior Kelly Franxman had 11 kills without an error for a .367 hit percentage.

• Carrigan O'Reilly notcher her 10th double-double fo the year, recording 40 assists and 11 digs. She also had five blocks and four kills on the evening.

• Libero Alyssa Overbeck led the team with 25 digs. Three other Musketeers had double-digit dig totals, Emma Grace (12), MaryAnn O'Toole (12), Carrigan O'Reilly (11).
