Women's Tennis Picks Up 5-2 Win Over Miami (Ohio)

CINCINNATIÂ - Xavier women's tennis moved to 4-1Â on the season after taking a 5-2 win over Miami (Ohio) at Eastern Hills on Friday evening. Xavier went ahead 1-0 with the doubles point and picked up two of the first three singles decisions to seal the win.
The Musketeers are back in action tomorrow, hosting Bowling Green at Eastern Hills, set to begin at 4:30 p.m.

Xavier secured the doubles point after Kat Lyman and Kaitlin Ruether took the No. 2 spot, 6-2, and Ahmeir Kyle and Emily Thomas took the No. 1 spot 6-3. Imani Graham and Anna Roggenburk were ahead 5-4 when the point was decided.
Kat Lyman picked up the first singles point, taking the No. 2 spot in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, to put Xavier ahead 2-0. Lyman is now 5-0 in singles play for the year.
Imani Graham picked up the third point for the Musketeers, taking the No. 4 spot, 6-3, 6-4, for her fourth singles win of the season.
Miami picked up its first point ,in the No. 1 spot, with a three set win over Ahmeir Kyle, 2-6, 6-1, 6-1.
Emily Thomas sealed the win for the Musketeers with a 7-5, 6-2 win in the No. 5 spot to put Xavier ahead 4-1.
The RedHawks' final point came from the No. 6 spot, a 0-6 6-4, 6-4 win over Kaitlin Ruether.
Xavier closed out the match with a 5-2 win after Anna Roggenburk picked up her fourth win of the season, taking the No. 3 singles spot, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.
