INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Xavier women's soccer moved to 1-1 in BIG EAST play after falling, 4-0, at Butler on Sunday afternoon. The Musketeers move to

The Bulldogs scored two goals in quick succession midway through the first half to take a 2-0 lead into the break, then added a third shortly after halftime. The Bulldogs added a fourth goal midway through the second period to set the final score at 4-0. Xavier's offense created pressure for the entire game, outshooting the Bulldogs 19-7 and earning 12 corner kicks but were unable to find the back of the net.

Xavier returns to action on Thursday, March 18 at Marquette, facing the Golden Eagles at 1:00 p.m. ET.

23' | BUTLER | Off a Xavier turnover in the Butler attacking third, Alli Leonard shot from the top of the box, about 18 yards out to the lower left corner for the 1-0 lead.

26' | BUTLER | BU's Justina Gaynor passed from the left side of the field to Julia Leonard at midifield. Leonard served the ball into the box to Katie Soderstrom who shot from straight on to the lower left corner to make it 2-0.

Xavier held a 19-7 advantage on shots overall, and a 6-4 advantage on shots on-goal, led by seven shots for Molly McLaughlin, with two on-frame.
Olivia Lawson had three looks and Mackenzie Tucker had a pair.
Xavier out-shot Butler 13-3 after halftime, including a 5-2 advantage on shots on goal
Xavier held a 12-0 advantage on corner kicks, including eight in the second half.
Olivia Jenkins played the full time in-frame, collecting a save. Hayley Jakovich also played the full 90 minutes on the Xavier backline.
