Women's Soccer Falls at Marquette

MILWAUKEE -Â Â Xavier women's soccer moved to 1-2Â in BIG EAST play after falling, 3-1, at Marquette on Thursday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles took a 2-0 lead into halftime, and added a third goal shortly after the break. The Musketeers cut it back to a two-goal deficit on a score from Grace Blumfeldt midway through the second half, but couldn't pull any closer in the final 20 minutes of play.
The Musketeers move to 2-4 overall, and are back in action on Thursday, March 25, hosting Creighton at the XU Soccer Complex, set for a 1:00 p.m. first touch.
