Musketeers back in action tomorrow with Ball State

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's tennis picked up the win in the Musketeers' first match of the weekend, sweeping Eastern Illinois, 7-0, at Eastern Hills.

Xavier is back in action on Sunday, hosting Ball State at Eastern Hills at 5:00 p.m.

THE MATCH

Xavier took the doubles point after picking up 6-4 wins across the board,with Cambell Nakayama pairing up for the win in the No. 1 spot, moving to 4-1 on the season as a pair. Srdan Pejic and Shashank Reddy winning in the No. 2 spot, their third doubles win of the season, and Matthew Graft and Jan Vrba making it a sweep of the doubles matches in the No. 3 spot.

Xavier also swept the six singles spots to take the 7-0 win. Brett Winters took the win in the No. 1 spot, 6-3, 6-4, for his third singles win of 2021, all coming in the No. 1 spot. Srdan Pejic picked up his second singles win of the season with a 6-4, 6-0 result in the No. 2 spot.

Matthew Graft moved to 4-1 on the season with a 7-6 (4), 6-4 win in the No. 3 spot. Cambell Nakayama picked up the 6-4, 6-3 win in the No. 4 spot.

Shashank Reddy picked up the win in the No. 5 spot, 6-2, 6-4. Aaron Thompson picked up the win in the No. 6 spot, 6-2, 7-5.
