Men's Tennis Collects 11 Match Wins at ITA Ohio Valley Regional

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Six Musketeers traveled to Knoxville to compete in the ITA Ohio Valley Regional at the University of Tennessee last weekend, collecting 11 total match wins in singles and doubles action through the weekend
Diego Nava advanced to the round of 32 in the main draw, picking up wins over competitors from MTSU, Vanderbilt and Louisville on the way to a 3-1 singles record for the weekend.
Marco Pennelli picked up a win over Vince Orlando of Ball State in the first round of the singles main draw, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, finishing the weekend 1-1 in singles play.
Cambell Nakayama also advanced to the round of 64 in the main draw after topping Petar Petrovice of Indiana 6-2, 6-2, going 1-1 in singles action for the weekend.
After falling in the first round of singles play, Charlie Temming advanced to the round of 16 in the consolation bracket with wins over Parrish Simmons of Ball State and Jake Penny of Lipscomb, going 2-2 for the weekend.
Ryan Cahill topped Brandon Ponomarew of NKY, 6-2, 6-1 in the consolation bracket and Brett Winters picked up a win over Tom Berry of NKU in the consolation bracket, 7-6 (4), 6-4.
In doubles action, Ryan Cahill and Diego Nava combined to going 1-1, picking up an opening round win over ETSU, 8-6. Marco Pennelli and Charlie Temming also picked up an opening round win 8-7 (3) over Dayton.
