Men's Tennis Picks up 6-1 Win at Bellarmine

LOUISVILLEÂ - Xavier men's tennis picked up the win on Friday evening, topping Bellarmine 6-1 at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.
Xavier returns home to host Cleveland State on Saturday at Eastern Hills, set to start at 4:30 p.m.

Xavier picked up the doubles point after picking up wins on courts No. 2 and 3. Brett Winters and Cambell Nakayama took the 6-2 win on the No. 2 court and Charlie Temming and Shashank Reddy picked up the win on court No. 3, 6-2. On the No. 1 court, Diego Nava and Ryan Cahill fell narrowly, 7-6.
Xavier picked up two set wins in the top singles spots, with No. 1 singles going to Diego Nava, 6-2, 7-6 and Ryan Cahill taking No. 2 singles, 6-3, 7-5.
Xavier also picked up two set wins in the No. 5 spot for Marco Pennelli, 6-4, 6-2, and in the No 6 spot for Caden Kammerer, 6-1, 6-2.
Brett Winters picked up a three-set win 3-6, 6-4, 7-5, in the No. 3 spot helping the Musketeers collect its sixth point.
Charlie Temming battled to tiebreakers in a third set in the No. 4 spot, but fell, 6-4, 2-6, 10-6.
