CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeer men's basketball team, 1-0, continues the season-opening homestand on Friday night against the University of Montana Grizzlies. This is the first meeting between the two schools.

• Xavier sold out the opening game on Nov. 7, tonight's game and the upcoming games vs. Indiana on Nov. 18 and West Virginia on Dec. 3. XU sold out its full season tickets at 8,400 for this season at the 10,224-seat Cintas Center.
• Xavier is looking for its sixth straight win at Cintas Center.
• Xavier is playing the second game of a four-game homestand to open the season.
• Xavier head coach Sean Miller is back for his sixth season at the helm. Miller was the XU head coach for five seasons from 2004-09.
• Xavier junior Colby Jones was named Preseason All-BIG EAST First Team by the league coaches. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced he is on the 20-member Watch List for the 2023 Julius Erving Award; the annual honor recognizes the top small forward in college basketball.
• Xavier's Colby Jones dished off a career-high nine assists in the win over Morgan State to go with 15 points, six rebounds, three steals and three blocks.
• Xavier graduate student Jack Nunge was named Preseason All-BIG EAST First Team by the league coaches. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame has Nunge among the 20 Watch List members for the 2023 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award; the annual honor recognizes the top center in college basketball.
• Xavier senior Jerome Hunter hit 5-7 from the field on his way to 11 points vs. Morgan State to go with a game-high nine rebounds and two blocks.
