Jensen, Rasheed Earn USC All-East Region Honors

Cole Jensen was named to the first team, while Makel Rasheed picked up second-team honors
CINCINNATI - Cole Jensen and Makel Rasheed both named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Team on Wednesday. Jensen earned first-team honors, while Rasheed was tabbed to the second team, respectively.Â
Jensen and Rasheed helped the Musketeers match the program's highest United Soccer Coaches Ranking this season (No. 9 on Oct. 18). The two players also helped the Musketeers match the program record for longest unbeaten streak to start a season (14 matches) and set the program record for fewest losses in a season (2).
Xavier also finished the year ranked tied for fourth in single-season school history in shutouts (8) and fourth in single-season school history in goals against average (0.89).

• Jensen was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year on Nov. 9. He is the third Musketeer to earn the honors and the first since Dallas Jaye in 2015. Eric Osswald also received the honors in 2014.
• The Council Bluffs, Iowa, native leads the BIG EAST in shutouts (8), while ranking second in goals against average (0.89). He also ranks fifth in the conference in total saves (59). Jensen ranks tied for 10th in the NCAA in shutouts and tied for 34th in goals against average.Â
• Jensen ranks tied for fourth in single-season school history in goals against average (0.89), tied for fifth in total wins (9) and third in shutouts (8).
• Jensen earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honors twice this season and was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll five times.

• Rasheed earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST Second Team on Nov. 9. The defender helped anchor a defensive back line that ranks first in the BIG EAST in shutouts (8) and goals against average (0.89). He has six points (two goals, two assists) in 11 matches this season.
• The Rockville, Md., native was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll twice this season.
