Musketeers set to play back-to-back Top 25 BIG EAST teams on the road.

CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 17-8 overall and 7-7 in the BIG EAST Conference, head to Connecticut on Saturday for their second game in nine days against the No. 24 University of Connecticut Huskies, 18-7 overall and 9-5 in the BIG EAST. XU defeated UConn 74-68 on Feb. 11 at Cintas Center.
Xavier plays its next two games on the road against Top 25 BIG EAST teams. After the UConn game Xavier travels to Providence to take on the No. 8 Friars on Wednesday, Feb. 23.

• Xavier, 17-8 overall and 7-7 in the BIG EAST Conference, is coming off a loss to St. John's on Wednesday.
• Xavier is No. 27 in the AP Poll (second among "others receiving votes") after nine straight weeks in the AP Top 25. XU is 23rd in the NCAA NET and 38th in KenPom.
• Xavier has three players averaging in double figures in scoring from 10.2 ppg. to 13.5 ppg. and two others at 9.7 ppg. or better. XU has had eight different players lead the team in scoring this season.
• Xavier junior Jack Nunge has recorded three straight 22-point games, including 22 to go with nine rebounds vs. UConn on Feb. 11. Nunge leads the team in scoring at 13.5 ppg. and in blocks at 1.5 bpg. He is second in rebounding at 7.2 rpg.
• Xavier's Jack Nunge has been named to the 2021-22 Academic All-District® First Team. Nunge currently holds a 3.94 G.P.A. in the M.B.A. program.
• Xavier senior Paul Scruggs, who is fifth in the BIG EAST in assists at 4.3 apg., is
second on the team in scoring at 12.4 ppg. He has averaged 14.6 ppg. over the last 12 games. He scored all nine of his points in the second half of the UConn win.
• Xavier sophomore Colby Jones, who is sixth in the BIG EAST in overall rebounding (7.6 rpg.) and seventh in offensive rebounding (2.6 rpg.), is third on the team in scoring (10.2 ppg.) and second in assists (2.9 apg.), including six assists vs. UConn.
