In singles play, Musketeers made it a 2-0 lead with a 6-3, 6-3 win for Kat Lyman on the No. 4 court and went ahead 3-0 with a 6-2, 6-4 win for Imani Graham on the No. 2 court.
ETSU responded with 6-3, 6-3 win on the No. 3 court against Anna Roggenburk, a 6-2, 7-6 (2) win on the No. 1 court against Ahmeir Kyle and a 6-3, 6-4 win on the No. 6 court against Anne-Sophie Courteau.
With the match tied 3-3, No. 5 singles became the deciding point. Anna Smith took the first set before falling in the final two, 2-6, 7-5, 6-3, to set the final score at 4-3 in favor of the Bucs.
