Wright State Outlasts Xavier in Extras

Raiders score on wild pitch to end pitcher's duel
DAYTON, OH. - Xavier baseball faced a test on Wednesday, as both teams only scored one run after nine innings had concluded, but it was Wright State who scratched across the winning run in extras.
You don't want to show up late to the ballpark when Xavier plays, because often one team will score in the first. Today, it was Wright State scoring on a bases loaded walk to go up 1-0. It would be their last run until the final pitch of the game. Xavier also scored on a walk after loading the bases in the third behind Tyler DeMartino and Eddie Rivero singles. The score would stand behind the arms of Bobby Jones and Luke Bell until the bottom of the 10th, where Wright State scored on a wild pitch to walk-off Xavier.
Neither team had a base-hit RBI, as the three combined runs were scored with two walks and a wild pitch in order.
The Musketeers will play tomorrow at Indiana and then take a day off before concluding the series this Saturday and Sunday. First pitch will be at 6:00 pm ET on Thursday.
