Musketeers face Miami (Ohio) on Sunday

LOUISVILLE - Xavier women's tennis fell to the Louisville Cardinals on Friday afternoon, 5-2. The Musketeers return to action this weekend with a trip to Oxford, Ohio to face the Miami Redhawks on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

THE MATCH

In doubles play, Kat Lyman and Anne-Sophie Courteau fell 6-0 on the No. 3 court and the Cardinals clinched the point with a 6-4 win ont he No. 1 court against Ahmeir Kyle and Emily Thomas.

Louisville made it a 2-0 lead with a 6-3, 6-1 win on the No. 5 court against Anna Smith, then pushed it to a 3-0 lead with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Kat Lyman on the No. 3 court.

Anna Roggenburk took a 7-5, 6-1 win on the No. 4 court to make it a 3-1 match and Imani Graham made it 3-2 with a 6-4, 6-4 win in No. 2 singles.

The Cardinals responded by clinching the match with a 7-6, 6-3 win in No. 6 singles against Blessing Nwaozuzu and set the final score at 5-2 with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win on the No. 1 court against Ahmeir Kyle.
