Musketeers face Cardinals at noon on Friday, take on Redhawks at 1 PM on Sunday
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis will play a pair of road matches this weekend, heading to Louisville to take on the Cardinals on Friday, March 18 at noon, then going to Oxford, Ohio to face the Miami Redhawks on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Following the match with Miami, Xavier returns home to host Cincinnati and Cleveland State on March 26-27.

LOUSIVILLE |
- The Cardinals are 7-6 on the season with wins over Cincinnati, Marshall, Miami (Ohio), Ball State, Saint Louis, Austin Peay, and Bellarmine.
- Louisville went 9-13 overall last year and 3-10 in ACC play.
- UofL topped Boston College 4-1 in the first round of the ACC Championships before falling 4-0 to Duke to end the season.
- Louisville took the meeting last season, 4-3. Xavier picked up the doubles points, and singles wins in the No. 1 spot for Ahmeir Kyle and the No. 2 spot for Kat Lyman.

- Miami enters the game at 6-7 on the season, picking up wins over UIndy, Butler, Cleveland State, Youngstown State, Harvard and Lipscomb.
- Miami went 10-13 overall and 4-10 in MAC play last season.
- Xavier took a 5-2 win in last season's meeting, taking singles wins in the No. 2-5 spots.

- Xavier women's tennis fell to the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday, 6-1, ending a two-match win streak.
- In doubles play, Kat Lyman and Anne-Sophie Courtea fell 6-2 on the No. 3 court, and Ahmeir Kyle and Emily Thomas fell on the No. 1 court to the No. 15 ranked duo in the country to give the Buckeyes the point. Imani Graham and Anna Roggenburk trailed 5-4 on No. 2 when the point was decided.
- OSU went up 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-2 win on the No. 1 singles court against Ahmeir Kyle, who battled No. 4 Irina Cantos Siemers, and made it 3-0 with a 6-2, 6-2 win in No.5 singles against Anna Smith. The Buckeyes clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-3 win in No. 2 singles against Imani Graham, who played No. 43 Sydni Ratliff.
- Anna Roggenburk fell 6-3, 6-4 on the No. 4 court and Blessing Nwaozuzu fell 6-3, 6-4 on the No. 6 court for the Buckeyes sixth point.
- The final decision came on the No. 3 court, with Kat Lyman picking up a point for the Musketeers with a 6-4,6-3 win to set the score at 6-1.

THE MUSKETEERS |
- Xavier returned seven letterwinners from last season's BIG EAST Championship squad, including Ahmeir Kyle and Anna Roggenburk, who were were unanimous selections to the All-BIG EAST First Team.
- Roggenburk also earned the nod as Freshman of the Year for the conference while Kyle became the first Musketeer to qualify for the NCAA DI Singles Championship.
- The Musketeers also return all-conference honoree Kat Lyman, who earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST Second Team.
- Xavier added a pair of newcomers as well in graduate transfer Anna Smith, joining the Musketeers from Marshall, as well as freshman Bella Kirby.
- The Musketeers also added a mid-year transfer in graduate student Anne-Sophie Courteau. She comes to Xavier from West Virginia, where she collected over 75 combined wins in four seasons, including 44 singles wins and 34 doubles wins.
