Trevor Olson, Tyler DeMartino Both Earn a Spot on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Olson pitched 5.0 scoreless innings in win over Indiana; DeMartino batted .500 through five games last week
NEW YORK - Following a five game week were the Musketeers collected three wins, including a series win at Indiana, a pair of Musketeers, Trevor Olson and Tyler DeMartino, were named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference office announced on Monday.
Olson, a graduate student from Chippewa Falls, Wisc., made the start in Saturday's game at Indiana, going 5.0 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit overall and throwing a no hitter through 4.1 innings. The lefty struck out six and gave up three walks in a game that Xavier led 12-0 when he went to the bullpen, ultimately winning the contest 12-10.
DeMartino, a junior outfielder from Potomac, Md., led Xavier's starters with a .500 average (8-16) in a 3-2 week for the Musketeers, including taking 3 of 4 from Indiana. Three of DeMartino's hits were for extra bases, capping the week with a .812 slugging percentage. DeMartino came around to score a team-high seven runs during Xavier's five game week and drove in four RBI, including three in Sunday's series finale.
Xavier returns to action on Wednesday when the Musketeers host Michigan for the home opener, set to begin at 3:00 p.m. at Hayden Field.
