CINCINNATI - Xavier women's golf continues its spring season at the Georgia State Invitational on March 28-29. The two-day tournament is being hosted by Georgia State at Rivermont Golf Club in Johns Creek, Ga.
Xavier won the tournament last season on March 29-30, posting a 54-hole score of 882 (+18), finishing three strokes ahead of second-place Kennesaw State (885, +21).

SCHEDULE
The field will compete Monday and Tuesday playing 36 holes on Monday, followed by 18 holes on Tuesday. Teams will utilize a shotgun start on Monday beginning at 8:15 a.m., followed by an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start on Tuesday.

• Xavier placed second at the Pinetree CC Women's Collegiate Invite in Kennesaw, Ga., on March 22. The two-day tournament was hosted by Kennesaw State at Pinetree CC.
• The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 901 (+37), ranking second in a field of 12 teams - the program's second runner-up finish this spring. Xavier now has six top-five finishes dating back to the spring of 2021.
• Sophomore Emma McMyler posted her eighth top-10 career finish, pacing the Musketeers with a third-place finish (217, +1).

• Xavier won the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic on Oct. 10, capturing the team's lone tournament title of the fall season. The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 871 (+7), ranking first in a field of 12 teams. The tournament title was the Musketeers first since capturing the BIG EAST Championships on April 25, 2021. Xavier also won the Georgia State Tournament on March 30, 2021.
• Emma McMyler posted a 54-hole score of 206 (-10) to rank first in a field of 65 golfers at the Bradley Coyote Classic. The sophomore golfer's score set a new school record for 54-hole scoring. The individual tournament title was the first of her Xavier career. She was also named the BIG EAST Golfer of the Week on Oct. 13.
• Freshman Kara Carter had two top-five finishes in the fall. She placed second at the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic (Oct. 10) and fourth at the Palmetto Intercollegiate (Oct. 26).
• Xavier also won a match-play tournament (11-7) vs crosstown rival Cincinnati on Oct. 31.
• Emma McMyler also won the Sally Championship (amateur event) at Oceanside Country Club on Jan. 8.

• Head coach Breanna Jenco returns for her seventh season with the Musketeers. She earned BIG EAST Coach of the Year honors in the spring of 2021, picking up the accolades for the third time in her career.
• Xavier enters the season as the two-time defending BIG EAST Champions. The Musketeers won the the conference title on April 25, finishing 13 strokes ahead of Seton Hall in the team standings. Xavier also advanced to its second straight NCAA Regional.
• Xavier returns two letterwinners from its BIG EAST Championship team roster in Abby Kiefer and Emma McMyler. Both players tied for eighth at the conference championships.
• Emma McMyler was also named the BIG EAST Freshman and Player of the Year, becoming the first golfer to earn both awards in the same season since Notre Dame's Lindsey Weaver in 2013. She led all BIG EAST players in lowest scoring average (73.59), while ranking 113th nationally.
• Xavier also returns Kayla Benge, Erin Kim and Abby Whittington. Kim played two rounds at the NCAA Louisville Regional as a substitute (injury) for Abby Kiefer.
