Diego Nava Named BIG EAST Singles Player of the Week

Nava took No. 1 singles in Xavier's 4-3 win over Butler
NEW YORK - After picking up the match-clinching point against Butler, Xavier men's tennis graduate student Diego Nava was named the BIG EAST Singles Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
Nava, originally from Woodland Hills, Calif., took down Butler's Thomas Brennan at the No. 1 singles slot, 7-6 (3), 6-7 (4), 4-6 in the final decision of the match. The win improved Xavier's record to 3-0 in BIG EAST play this season and moved Nava to 12-1 in singles play.
This is Nava's fourth Singles Player of the Week honor of the season.
