Men's Tennis Hosts Creighton, Travels to Dayton this Weekend

Xavier to face Bluejays on Saturday at Camargo Racquet Club, Dayton on Saturday
CINCINNATI - Xavier men's tennis is set for a pair of matches this weekend to host Creighton on Friday, April 3, set for a 1:00 p.m. at Camargo Racquet Club. The Musketeers then travel to Dayton on Saturday, April 4, to face the Flyers, set for a 2:00 p.m. start at South Regency Tennis Center.

Creighton
- The Bluejays are 11-10 on the season and 2-1 in BIG EAST play, topping Georgetown and Villanova and falling to St. John's.
- Creighton went 16-11 last season with a 4-1 mark in BIG EAST play. The Bluejays advanced to the BIG EAST Finals with wins over Marquette and Xavier, falling to St. John's in the Championship.
- Xavier fell, 4-1, in the last match up between the two programs in the 2025 BIG EAST Semifinals.
Dayton
- The Flyers are 13-6 on the season and enter the weekend on a six match win streak, with a match against Youngstown State set for Thursday afternoon.
- Dayton went 22-4 last season, advancing to the Atlantic 10 Tournament Finals with wins over Saint Louis and Davidson before falling to VCU in the A10 Championship match.
- The Flyers took a 4-3 win over Xavier in last season's match-up in Cincinnati.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
- Next weekend, Xavier wraps up the regular season by hosting Butler on Saturday, April 11, for Senior Day.
THE MUSKETEERS
- Xavier returns a trio from last year's squad that collected 10 wins and advanced to the BIG EAST Semifinals, senior Kyle Totorica, and sophomores Alex Kotarski and Andrew Spurck.
- The Musketeers added three transfers to the roster, senior Samuel Frizelle, who transferred from Florida Southern, junior Nick Herdoiza, who comes to Xavier from Northwestern, and Max Pettingell, a redshirt-freshman coming from Auburn.
- Xavier also added a pair of freshmen to the roster, Bode Campbell, a four-star recruit out of Bloomington, Minn., and Lukas Grossman, a four-star from Atlanta.
