Men's Tennis Battles to 4-3 Win Over Creighton

The Musketeers now travel to Dayton on Saturday, April 4, to face the Flyers, set for a 2:00 p.m. start at South Regency Tennis Center.

Creighton picked up a 6-2 win on the No. 2 doubles court, against Andrew Spurck and Nick Herdoiza, and a 6-4 win on the No. 3 court, against Bode Campbell and Kyle Totorica to take the point.
The Bluejays made it a 2-0 lead with a 6-0, 6-0 win against Samuel Frizelle on the No. 5 singles court.Â
Bode Campbell took a 6-1, 6-1 win on the No. 6 singles court to cut the Creighton lead to 2-1, and Nick Herdoiza tied it up a 2-2 with a 6-2, 6-1 win on court No. 1.
Alex Kotarski put Xavier in front, 3-2, with a 6-2, 6-1 win on court No. 2. The Bluejays pulled even at 3-3 with a 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 win on court No. 3 against Max Pettingell.
The match was decided on court No. 4, with Andrew Spurck coming back to take the second set to force a deciding third, eventually clinching the match for the Musketeers with a 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 win.
The victory was Xavier's first over Creighton since 2022.
