Men's Tennis Tops St. Bonaventure for Third-Straight Win

CLEVELAND - Xavier men's tennis extended its win streak to three, topping St. Bonaventure 6-1 at Cleveland State on Sunday.
Next weekend, Musketeers make a trip to Indiana to face IUPUI on Friday, Feb. 3, before heading to Bloomington to face the Hoosiers on Sunday, Feb. 5.
In doubles play, Xavier took the No. 3 court, with Jorge Santamaria and Marco Pennelli taking the 6-2 win for their third-straight doubles win as a pair. Ryan Cahill and Kyle Totorica took a 6-3 win on the No. 2 court to secure the doubles point. Pascal Mosberger and Cambell Nakayama were leading 4-2 when the point was decided.
Xavier collected two set wins on five singles courts. Cambell Nakayama took No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1. Kyle Totorica took the No. 3 court, 6-3, 6-2. Pascal Mosberger picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win on the No. 4 court.
Marco Pennelli won 6-0, 6-0 on the No. 5 court and Jorge Santamaria picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win on the No. 6 court, a third-straight singles win for both.
Ryan Cahill took the No. 1 court to a third set, falling 6-3, 3-6, 10-8 for St. Bonaventure's lone point.
