Men's Tennis Extends Win Streak to Four with 6-1 Win at IUPUI

INDIANAPOLIS - Xavier men's tennis moved to 4-1 on the season and extended its win streak to four, with a 6-1 victory over IUPUI on Friday afternoon.
Next up, the Musketeers head to Bloomington to face the Hoosiers on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 4:00 p.m.
In doubles play, Xavier took the point on a pair of 6-2 wins. Ryan Cahill and Deacon Thomas combined for the win on the No. 1 court, while Cambell Nakayama and Pascal Mosberger picked up the win on No. 2 to secure the point for the Musketeers. Marco Pennelli and Jorge Santamaria trailed 5-4 on the No. 3 court when the point was decided.
In singles play, Xavier picked up three two-set wins, with Ryan Cahill taking the win on No. 1, 7-5, 6-3 and Cambell Nakayama winning 6-3, 6-3 on the No. 3 court, his third-straight singles decision.
Pascal Mosberger picked up a 7-5, 6-4 win on the No. 4 court to move to 2-0 in singles play on the season, and Marco Pennelli took the 6-2, 6-2 win on No. 6 for his fourth-straight singles win. Xavier picked up its sixth point on the No. 5 court where Kyle Totorica took the win in three sets, 6-4, 2-6, 6-0.
The Jags picked up a point on the No. 2 court, a 6-4, 6-0 win against Deacon Thomas.
