Women's Soccer Plays No. 12 Georgetown to Draw

CINCINNATI - Xavier women's soccer remained unbeaten in BIG EAST action after playing No. 12 Georgetown to a 0-0 draw on Thursday evening at Corcoran Field. Xavier moved to 9-2-3 overall and 2-0-3 in BIG EAST play.
Xavier held an 8-2 advantage on shots in the first half, with a 3-1 advantage on shots on goal, but the teams went into halftime scoreless.
After the break, the Hoyas created more offensive pressure, taking five second-half shots, but the Musketeers were able to counter, finishing the second period with a 10-5 advantage on shots and a 5-2 advantage on corner kicks earned. Xavier also had a 2-1 advantage on looks on-frame after halftime, but neither team was able to find the back of the net, setting the final score at 0-0.
Xavier heads back out on the road this weekend, traveling to UConn on Sunday, Oct. 8, set for a 1:00 p.m. start on FloSports.
