Musketeers Drop NCAA Tournament Opener vs Kentucky

Xavier fell, 2-0, on Thursday night at Corcoran Field
CINCINNATI, Ohio - Xavier men's soccer dropped 2-0 match vs Kentucky on Thursday night in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament at Corcoran Field.
Xavier finishes the year with a 9-4-6 on the year, while the Wildcats improve to 8-7-4.

• Jonny Mennell (9-4-6) took the loss in goal and made two saves, increasing his season total to 63 saves. Xavier only allowed multiple goals in a match three times this season.
• Jonny Mennell finished the year with a 0.83 goals against average, ranking fourth in single-season school history. His nine shutouts ranks tied for second in single-season school history.
• Xavier finished the year with a 5-1-5 record. The Musketeers posted a 0.45 goals average in the span with seven shutouts and only five goals allowed.
• When Ben Damge scored the first goal of the match in the 25th minute, it snapped a streak of 461 minutes for the Musketeers without allowing a goal (last allowed a goal at Villanova on Oct. 21).
