Xavier Continues The Six-Game Homestand On Tuesday Night

Musketeers are coming off a tough loss to No. 6 Houston.
CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 4-4, continue the homestand with a game vs. the University of Delaware Blue Hens, 5-3, on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at Cintas Center. Xavier is shooting to snap a two-game losing streak.
The two teams have not played since meeting in the Daiwa NCAA Ball Tournament in Tokyo, Japan, in the 1992-93 season. XU won that game 74-66 behind 26 points and 11 rebounds from future NBA Draft lottery pick Brian Grant.

• Xavier is playing the fourth game of a six-game homestand.
• Xavier is looking to snap a two-game losing streak after falling 66-60 to No. 6 Houston on Friday night. Graduate student Quincy Olivari led XU with 17 points and four assists.
• Xavier sophomore Desmond Claude leads the team at 16.4 ppg. (tied for eighth in the BIG EAST), including 24 vs. Oakland. Claude, the only Musketeer who has scored in double figures in every game, is the only returnee from last season that has played a game.
• Xavier grad student Quincy Olivari has scored in double figures seven times, including five straight games. Olivari, who is second on the team in scoring (13.9 ppg.) and rebounding (4.9 rpg.), is tied for sixth in the BIG EAST in 3-point field goals at 2.4 per game.
• Xavier senior Dayvion McKnight leads the BIG EAST Conference in assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.55. He is fifth in the BIG EAST in assists at 4.88 per game.
• Xavier freshman Trey Green, who is second on the team in 3-point field goals at 1.29 per game, missed the Houston game due to illness. He has connected on at least one 3-pointer in each of his last six games.
• Xavier head coach Sean Miller holds a 151-61 (.712) mark in his seventh season leading Xavier, which is good for third place on Xavier's all-time wins list.
• Xavier has 10 newcomers on the 2023-24 roster, including six freshmen and four transfers. All 10 newcomers have played this season. Freshman Lazar Djokovic, who sat out the first three games with a hand injury, has played in the last five games.
• Xavier has three international players on its 2023-24 roster, including freshmen Lazar Djokovic (Serbia) and Saša Ciani (Slovenia) and senior Gytis Nemeikša (Lithuania).
