Lola Mancuso earns the award for the second time this season
NEW YORK - Lola Mancuso was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Monday afternoon. The attacker helped the Musketeers post a 1-1 record last week.
Xavier posted a 14-15 loss at Wofford on Mar. 7. The Musketeers then powered through to an 11-10 victory over Eastern Michigan to earn the first home victory for the program.
Mancuso recorded nine goals in two games last week, going 2-2 on free position goals against the Terriers. The Plantation, Fla., native recovered one ground ball, captured two draw controls and caused two turnovers. She also took 18 shots (14 shots on goal).
Mancuso and the Musketeers return to action on Sunday, March 26 at Michigan.
