Women's Tennis Hosts Memphis, Travels to Cincinnati this weekend

Musketeers face Tigers on Saturday, Bearcats on Sunday
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis (7-5) returns to Cincinnati for its next two matches, hosting Memphis on Saturday, March 25, and facing Cincinnati on Sunday, March 26.
The match with Memphis' location will be determined based on the weather. If outdoors, the match will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility. If indoors, the match will start at 5:00 p.m. at Eastern Hills.
The location and time of the match at Cincinnati on Sunday is to be determined, based on weather conditions.
The Musketeers are next in action on Saturday, April 1, hosting Wichita State, set for a noon start at the Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility.Â

- In singles play, a 6-1, 6-0 win over Anna Roggenburk on No. 3, a 6-1, 6-3 win over Blessing Nwaozuzu on No. 5 and a 6-3, 6-1 win over Imani Graham on No. 1 sealed the win for Louisville.
- To wrap up the match, the Cardinals took a 6-2, 6-3 win over Kat Lyman on No. 2 singles, a 6-1, 6-3 win against Abigail Siminski on No. 4 singles and a 7-6 (5), 6-0 win over Paulina Franco Martinessi on No. 6 to set the score at 7-0.

- For the week of Feb. 27, Xavier moved in the ITA team rankings, coming in at No. 71.
- The Musketeers wrapped up the 2022 spring season at 14-10 overall, brought home the program's third overall and second-straight BIG EAST Championship and earned Xavier's third bid to the NCAA Championships.
- Five letterwinners return from last season's BIG EAST Championship squad, including All-BIG EAST selection Imani Graham, Kat Lyman, Anna Roggenburk, Blessing Nwaozuzu and Bella Kirby.
- Xavier also added four-person freshman class, Emily Flowers, Paulina Franco Martinessi, Abby Nugent and Abigail Siminski.
