Claire Sievern Breaks School Record at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - Xavier track and field wrapped up action at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday evening. The three-day meet was hosted by N.C. State at Paul Derr Track & Field Facility.

Claire Sievern highlighted the meet by breaking the school record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.60. The previous record was set by Rachel Clark in 2012 (posted a time of 2:10.15 at the Atlantic-10 Championships).

Sievern has now set two school records this season. The Evansville, Ind., native also set Xavier's indoor track record for the one-mile run (4:49.43).
