• Xavier competed at the Virginia Challenge on April 21. The meet was held at Lannigan Field in Charlottesville, Va.Â
• Trevor Nolan won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a personal-best time of 9:07.15. He now has eight top-10 finishes during his outdoor track and field career with two, first-place finishes (also won the steeplechase at the Jim Vargo Invitational on April 9, 2022).
• Claire Sievern set the school record in the 1,500-meter run for the second time in as many meets. She posted a time of 4:25.70 in the invite section of the 1,500-meter run.
• Sievern has now set three school records this season. The Evansville, Ind., native also holds Xavier's indoor track record for the one-mile run (4:49.43) and the outdoor track record in the 800-meter run (2:08.60).

• Sam Burroughs was named the new head coach for cross country/track and field on Jan. 4, 2021. He joined the Musketeers after previously working as associate head coach at Cincinnati from 2013-20.Â
• Burroughs has over 20 years of collegiate experience. He has coached 96 individual conference champions and 46 individual NCAA qualifiers, while leading 18 teams to conference championship titles.

• Xavier returns to action at the BIG EAST Championships on May 12-13 in Villanova, Pa.
