Six Musketeers recorded goals against the Huskies
STORRS, Conn. - Xavier women's lacrosse fell to No. 23 UConn, 22-6, on Saturday afternoon.
The Musketeers finish the 2023 season at 4-10 (0-6 BIG EAST), while the Huskies advance to the BIG EAST Tournament at 11-5 (4-2 BIG EAST). Â

• Xavier outscored UConn in the third quarter in draw controls and in all four quarters in saves.
• Six Musketeers tallied goals against the Huskies - sophomore midfielder Julie Cassidy, freshmen midfielders Erin Berls and Kiera Armitage, freshmen attackers Lola Mancuso and Claire Slade and graduate midfielder Jessica Harrison.
• Lola Mancuso was the only member of the Musketeers to post an assist against the ranked opponent.
• Freshman midfielder Katelyn McDonnell recorded a team-high two ground balls.
• Freshman defender Sydney Saba posted a team-high two caused turnovers against UConn to go along with one ground ball.
• Kiera Armitage recorded a team-high four draw controls. The Awendaw, S.C., native also went 1-for-2 on free position shots for the Musketeers.
• Marina Piszczor recorded 10 saves in 45 minutes of goal time. The freshman goalkeeper also caused one turnover against the Huskies.
• The Musketeers totaled six goals, one assist, 12 draw controls, six caused turnovers and seven ground balls.
