Three Musketeers Claim Postseason Awards

Lola Mancuso tabbed BIG EAST Freshman of the Year
NEW YORK – As the inaugural season comes to a close, freshman attacker Lola Mancuso was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, as voted on by the league coaches. Joining her in postseason BIG EAST honors are freshman midfielder Erin Berls and graduate midfielder Jessica Harrison on the All-BIG EAST Second Team.
The Musketeers wrapped up 2023 at 4-10 overall, with an 0-6 record in BIG EAST play.

Two time BIG EAST Freshman of the Week Lola Mancuso seals her freshman season by collecting the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year title. The Plantation, Florida native was paramount to the new program.
Mancuso was the highest scoring Musketeer in eight of the 14 games played in the 2023 season. The freshman attacker led the team with her six hat tricks and started all 14 games.
Mancuso holds the single game records in goals (6), points (8), shots (12), shots on goals (8), and is tied for free position goals (2). She also holds the season records in goals (38), points (44), shots on goal (63), shots (81), and free position goals (8).
The Plantation native currently ranks fifth in the BIG EAST in goals per game (2.71) and seventh in shots per game (5.79).
This is Mancuso's first post season honor of her Xavier career.
Erin Berls, a freshman from Saratoga Springs, N.Y., was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team. Berls saw action in all 14 games with 12 starts for the Musketeers.
The midfielder collected 12 goals, one assist, nine ground balls, 18 draw controls, and three caused turnovers while also going 6-11 on free position goals in her first season.
Berls is tied for the single game record in free position goals (2) while ranking third in the season records in goals (12), points (13), shots on goal (21), shots (31), and free position goals (6).
This is Berls' first post season honor of her Xavier career.
Jessica Harrison, a graduate from Fort Collins, Colorado, was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team. Harrison saw action in 11 games with eight starts for the Musketeers.
The midfielder collected seven goals, two assists, 12 ground balls, 25 draw controls, and six caused turnovers in her first season at Xavier.
Harrison was one of only two members of the Musketeers to score against each ranked opponent the new squad faced this season.
The Fort Collins native ranks second on the team in season records for draw controls with her 25 total and is second in the single game records with her seven draw controls at Longwood and Butler.
This is Harrison's first post season honor of her Xavier career.
