Nathan Trickett scored his first career goal in the 23rd minute
OMAHA, Neb. -Â Nathan Trickett's first career goal in the 23rd minute led the Xavier men's soccer team to a 1-0 BIG EAST road win at Creighton on Friday night.
Xavier improved to 5-3-1 (2-1 BIG EAST), while the Bluejays dropped to 3-4-3 (2-1 BIG EAST).

• Freshman Nathan Trickett scored his first career goal in the 23rd minute. The Independence, Ohio, native was also making his first career start and logged a season-high 48 minutes. Taylor Rhinehart and George Waites were credited with assists on the play.
• The win over Creighton in Omaha marked only the second road win in the series history for the Musketeers. Xavier's previous road win in the series was on Oct. 28, 2015 (W, 2-1).
• Xavier shut out Creighton for only the third time this season and the first time at Morrison Stadium. The last time Creighton was held without a goal at home during a regular-season match was on Oct. 19, 2019 (L, 2-0 vs No. 7 St. John's).
• Xavier held an 8-6 advantage in shots and took three more shots on goal (5-2). Creighton was held to a season-low six shots by the Xavier defense (also had six shots vs Marquette on Sept. 15).
• Xavier committed eight more fouls (22-14) than the Bluejays and had two more yellow cards (4-2). Creighton took six more corner kicks (10-4) than the Musketeers.Â
• Nathan Trickett posted a match-high three shots (three shots on goal), while Guilherme Vivaldini added three shots (one on goal). Seydou Diop and George Waites each added a shot for Xavier.
• Jonny Mennell (5-3-1) recorded two saves between the pipes for the Musketeers. The Asheville, N.C., native recorded his third clean sheet of the season.
