Musketeers will face off with YSU, EKU, Duquesne, Cleveland State and Bellarmine

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's tennis heads to Youngstown, Ohio, to continue fall tournament action, taking part in the Youngstown State Invitational, running from Saturday, Sept. 30 throught Sunday, Oct. 1.

The tournament features student-athletes from six schools, including Xavier and host YSU.

FALL RESULTS

The Musketeers opened the fall at the James O'Connell Memorial Tournament at UD. The Musketeers picked up seven wins in the blind dual format, facing players from Dayton, NKU and Ball State.
Against Dayton, Kyle Totorica picked up a 6-4, 3-6, 10-6 win over Eric Perkowski, then partnered with Cristian Gonzalez for a 6-4 win over Matt DeMarco and Ronit Hiryur.
Totorica and Gonzalez each picked up a singles win against Ball State as well, with Totorica taking a 6-2, 6-0 win over Sajin Smith and Gonzalez topping Drew Hayward, 6-3, 6-2.
Marco Pennelli and Jorge Santamaria partnered up for a 7-5 win over Parrish Simmons and Mason Tran of Ball State as well
Facing off against NKU, Pascal Mosberger took a 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 win over Brandon Ponomarew, and Alex Adamec took a 6-4, 5-2 win over Santiago Casamayor.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE

Xavier wraps up the fall schedule at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional, running from Oct. 12 through Oct. 15 at UT Chattanooga.

THE MUSKETEERS

Xavier returns six letterwinners from last year's squad that finished the season at 12-9 overall.
The 2022-23 season marked a second-straight season with 12 wins, the first time the program had back-to-back 10-plus win season since the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.
The Musketeer returners include Ryan Cahill, Pascal Mosberger, Marco Pennelli, Jorge Santamaria, Charlie Temming and Kyle Totorica.
Xavier also added a pair of freshmen, Alex Adamec and Cristian Gonzalez.
