Musketeers face St. John's in a rematch of Dec. 20 matchup.

CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 10-10 overall and 4-5 in the BIG EAST Conference, host the St. John's University Red Storm, 13-7 overall and 5-4 in the BIG EAST, on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. Xavier is looking to bounce back from road losses at No. 17 Creighton and No. 1 UConn, while St. John's is coming off a home win over Villanova.

Xavier's schedule strength to date is now rated toughest in the nation by the latest NCAA NET rankings and No. 2 in the KenPom rankings.

• Xavier leads the BIG EAST and is sixth in the nation in fast break points at 16.7 ppg. XU is fourth in the BIG EAST and 33rd in the nation in assists at 16.3 apg.
• Xavier grad. student Quincy Olivari is fourth in the BIG EAST in scoring at 17.8 ppg., second in 3-point field goals per game (2.9) and in 3-point percentage (.439).
• Xavier senior Dayvion McKnight is second in the BIG EAST and 21st in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.17. He is sixth in the BIG EAST in assists at 4.8 per game. McKnight, who has averaged 19.0 ppg. for the last four games, is third on the team in scoring at 11.4 ppg. He leads XU and is ninth in the BIG EAST in steals (1.4 spg.).
• Xavier sophomore Desmond Claude is second on the team in scoring at 16.0 ppg. (10th in the BIG EAST) and assists at 3.6 apg. (12th in the BIG EAST).
• Xavier senior Abou Ousmane is tied for fourth in the BIG EAST in offensive rebounding (3.1 rpg.) and is seventh in the BIG EAST in blocks (1.3 bpg.).
• Xavier has 10 newcomers on the 2023-24 roster, including six freshmen who have logged 30.2 percent of the minutes played this season, the most for XU since 1995-96.
• Xavier freshman Trey Green scored a career-high 23 points at Providence on the strength of five 3-pointers. Green has hit at least two 3-pointers in five BIG EAST games.
• Xavier freshman Dailyn Swain, who made his first two collegiate starts in the last two games, contributed seven points, six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals in XU's last home game vs. Georgetown and had the game-winning drive and dunk.
