Joe Sullivan Named Assistant Athletics Director for Development

CINCINNATI - Joe Sullivan was named the assistant athletics director for development on Wednesday afternoon. He joins the Musketeers from Boston College.

"We're thrilled to welcome Joe, Molly and the Sullivan family back home," said Associate Athletics Director for Development Seth Breitenstein. "I have enjoyed watching Joe's hard work and dedication play out over his career. He is Xavier through and through and will be an excellent teammate on our All For One Fund staff. His experience in philanthropy and team operations at the collegiate level will contribute to our ambitious fundraising goals."

Sullivan served as the assistant director for athletics annual giving at Boston College from 2022-24. He managed a portfolio of nearly 200 donors and raised over million dollars annually, including multiple six-figure gifts.

Prior to working in fundraising, Sullivan served as the director of football player personnel at Boston College (2019-22) and football recruiting assistant at Boston College (2016-19). He also served as the director of basketball operations at Harvard during the 2015-16 season.

Sullivan was a graduate assistant men's basketball coach and undergraduate team manager at Xavier from 2010-15.

The Boston, Mass., native holds bachelor's degree from Xavier in sport management ('14) and a master's degree from Xavier in sport administration ('22).
